MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to highlight the contributions of embassies and diplomats in Korea to geopolitical relations, thereby celebrating each representative’s multifaceted cultural identities and narratives. We strive to bridge aspiring youth leaders with global leaders through open dialogue. Through our activities and efforts, we aim to broaden our global perspectives and inspire others to engage in meaningful global affairs and community-based initiatives.

President & Editor-In-Chief
Sean Kim
Sean Kim, a junior at Seoul International School (SIS), is the Founder and President of Consulate Circle. Ever since middle school, his interest in global affairs and political institutions has been fueled by his avid reading of global trends through newspapers and books. Currently, he is a reporter for his school newspaper and various other publications. Sean is eager to advance Consulate Circle’s mission, aiming to cultivate opportunities for students to acquire essential professional and life skills that will empower them to become global citizens and change-makers.
Vice President
Yoonwoo Lee
Yoonwoo Lee, a junior at Seoul International School (SIS), serves as the Director of Operations and Affairs for Consulate Circle. Characterized by having an interest for all subjects, he often delves into the arts of literature, scientific concepts, and, most importantly, understanding the complexities of human nature and multilateral relations on an international level. Driven by his desire to explore global affairs, Yoonwoo seeks to gain new experiences, deepen his understanding of the chaos and order around him, and ensure that Consulate Circle fulfills its mission.
Director of Operations
Hyungjoon Choo
Hyungjoon Choo, a junior at Korea International School (KIS), serves as the Director of Strategic Alignment for Consulate Circle. He leads his school’s Model United Nations (MUN) club and holds the position of Deputy Secretary-General for SEOMUN XXVII, the largest student-led conference in South Korea. A dynamic and forward-thinking leader, Hyungjoon fosters collaborative discussions within the Consulate Circle community, inspiring innovation and excellence in every project he undertakes. Known for his unwavering dedication to finding innovative solutions to arising problems, he empowers his peers to tackle challenges with purpose, leaving a lasting impact on the teams he leads.
Head of Internal Affairs
Lauren Leem
Lauren Leem, a freshman at Seoul International School (SIS), is the Head of Human Relations for Consulate Circle. A dedicated writer and researcher, Lauren is also an active member of her school’s Model United Nations (MUN) club. Her interest in publication work stems from her three-year experience with her school’s middle school newspaper. She also enjoys collaborating with and mentoring her peers in various activities and believes that members of Consulate Circle should always expect personal growth and fulfillment from each lesson, interview, and publishing cycle. With her journalistic experience and supportive nature, Lauren looks forward to guiding members and gaining new experiences with international politics.
Head of Strategic Foresight
Joshua Ko
Joshua Ko, a junior at Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS), serves as the Head of Strategic Foresight for Consulate Circle. As the founder of Next Korea, an organization that seeks to create a better future for Korea, the secretary of his school’s programming club, and an experienced member of YISS’s student council, Joshua is an active leader who extends his leadership beyond his school community through Consulate Circle. Joshua aspires to provide strategic insight pertaining to the future development of Consulate Circle. He also has great heart and empathy towards the betterment of the Consulate Circle community and Korea.

Doha Yeo
Doha Yeo, a freshman at Gyeonggi Suwon International School (GSIS), is the secretary for Consulate Circle. With a passion for organization and communication, she has gained experience in backstage theater, school publications, and the Red Cross Youth (RCY). These roles have sharpened her teamwork and leadership skills. Doha is eager to engage in discussions about global affairs and exchange ideas with representatives from diverse backgrounds. She is committed to fostering connections and promoting understanding in an increasingly interconnected world.

Media Manager
Everlyn Chong
Everlyn Chong, a junior at Seoul International School (SIS), is the Creative Director for Consulate Circle. Through her repertoire of executive roles, she has developed a strong reputation for her media expertise. She looks forward to managing Consulate Circle’s publicity by maintaining its social media profile and website. Moreover, she is delighted to develop videos and documentaries that highlight the incredible experience of world leaders and changemakers.
Graphics Editor / Film and Photo Director
Jiyoo Nam
Jiyoo Nam is a junior at Korea International School and a Film and Photo Director and Graphics Manager for the Consulate Circle. Jiyoo is passionate about media and filmmaking. At her school, she is president of the Filmmakers club, and an intern for the school’s official social media platforms (KISPride). Besides film, she is also passionate about international affairs, serving as a president of the Model United Nations (MUN) club, as well as the Administrative Director for the recent SEOMUN XXVII conference. Jiyoo hopes to mesh her interests together and use her various areas of expertise to serve the mission of the Consulate Circle.

Aiden Ha
Aiden Ha is a junior at Korea International School and serves as the layout editor and a writing editor for Consulate Circle. A passionate advocate for scientific advancement, he has participated in numerous global science forums and conferences since the age of five. Currently, Aiden serves as the research advisor for his school’s publications club and has published three academic papers. With his dedication and expertise, he looks forward to collaborating with global representatives and exchanging knowledge through his work at Consulate Circle.

Seungwoo Oh
Seungwoo Oh, a junior at Seoul International School (SIS), is the Managing Editor for Consulate Circle. As an active member of both his school’s Model United Nations (MUN) and the History Honor Society, Seungwoo is keenly interested in addressing global issues affecting international relations. He aims to gain a deep understanding of global affairs by engaging in thorough deliberations about global dynamics with international representatives and other officials.

Joseph Lim, a sophomore at Seoul International School (SIS), is an Editor for Consulate Circle. An enthusiastic science lover, saxophone player, and writer for SIS’s school newspaper, Joseph has a wide range of interests and experiences.
